The Dever Society was amongst the first to hear of Eagle Star's bid to develop an eco-town on 1,250 acres of land at Micheldever Station. Within hours, the Society had launched its campaign to defeat this latest proposal.

    Winchester MP Mark Oaten has welcomed the Government's rejection of Micheldever as an eco-town site. He has also written to Zurich and Eagle Star asking them to now formally abandon plans to develop the site.
